Why it matters

Let customers order without waiting for a price email.

A custom order needs more than a quantity box. ConfigKit collects the sizes, choices and files you need, then calculates the price from your rules. Here is the same five-banner job by email and on your shop.

Example: ordering by email

Customer, 21:40Hi, how much for five 3 x 1 m banners with eyelets?

You, next morningHi, thanks for asking. Which material: PVC, mesh or fabric?

Customer, after lunchPVC please. Can you add rope too? And what is the price for 5?

You still need the artwork before taking the order.

Safe prices

Your shop checks the price before accepting the order.

ConfigKit calculates the price again from the customer's choices when they add to the basket. Editing a displayed amount does not change your configured product price. This demonstration shows that check; shipping and taxes follow your WooCommerce settings.

  • Nothing goes in the basket until every needed choice is made.
  • Quote requests are checked and priced the same way.
  • Take a configurator off your shop, and nobody can check out with an old one still in their basket.

Why I built ConfigKit

I'm Hamza, the founder of DevTonic Studios and the developer of PriceWise. I have built custom ordering tools for sign makers, workshops and other businesses that make products to order.

The same need kept coming up: let the customer choose the details, calculate the price and keep those choices with the order. ConfigKit puts those tools in a plugin you can set up on your own WooCommerce shop.

The templates use example prices. Your products, prices and pictures make them yours. If you are unsure whether your pricing fits, send me an example before buying. I read and answer the messages myself.

ConfigKit or Craftor?

Both let customers choose product options and see their price. The difference is whether you want to build the shop pages too.

Craftor includes ConfigKit. Buy Craftor alone if you want both tools.

  1. Keep your shop pages You are here

“I want to add custom ordering to the shop design I use.”

    ConfigKit

Build the ordering form: choices, calculated prices, files and quotes.

Your theme or existing editor still controls the shop pages.

  2. Build the shop pages too

“I want to build or redesign my shop pages and take custom orders.”

    Craftor

    ConfigKit included

Build your shop pages from editable starter designs. The full ConfigKit plugin is included.

Use the same ConfigKit ordering tools, with an editor for your shop pages as well.

    From $249 a year

    See Craftor

Both are plugins for your own WordPress website with WooCommerce. You supply hosting, a domain, products and prices, then set up and check the shop. A custom build by me is a separate service.

Already own ConfigKit? Ask me about moving to Craftor before buying.

Not sure? Tell me what you sell and I will say which one fits. If the smaller one does the job, I will tell you that too.

Pricing

Every ConfigKit feature. Two ways to pay.

One site on either plan. Both include the visual editor, all 42 templates, product choices and pricing, file uploads and quote requests.

You are buying the plugin. You need your own WordPress website with WooCommerce, hosting and domain. You set up your products, choices and prices; a custom shop build is separate.

Questions, answered plainly

What shop owners ask me first.

ConfigKit or Craftor: which should I buy?

Choose ConfigKit if you want to add the ordering form while keeping your shop design or building it with another tool. Choose Craftor if you also want its editor and starter designs to build or redesign shop pages. Craftor includes the full ConfigKit plugin, so buy Craftor alone if you want both.

What do I need before I can use ConfigKit?

Your own WordPress website with WooCommerce, hosting and a domain. ConfigKit adds the ordering form to that website. It does not include hosting or a finished shop built for you.

Can I set it up without writing code?

Yes. Start with a template and use the visual editor to change the choices, pictures and prices. You still need to understand your own pricing and test it. Complex calculations may need a formula; ask me about yours before buying.

Can I use it on my existing products?

Use it on simple WooCommerce products, selected categories of simple products, or a separate page. It replaces the product's base price with its calculated price. Ask me before buying if your setup relies on variable products or another product-options plugin.

Do service and hire templates manage bookings or subscriptions?

They collect choices and dates and calculate a price. They do not reserve availability or collect recurring subscription payments. A date field and a monthly price label are not a booking calendar or a subscription system.

Do I need PriceWise for this?

No. ConfigKit is a separate plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce. You do not need PriceWise or Craftor to use it.

PriceWise or ConfigKit, which one do I need?

PriceWise focuses on product-page price calculators and add-ons. ConfigKit gives you a separate visual editor for an ordering form, with picture choices, steps, page placement, uploads and its own quote inbox. Send me an example if you are choosing between them.

Will it look right in my theme?

The examples above show twelve tested themes. Start with a ready-made style, then adjust colours, text, spacing and buttons. Send me your theme name or shop address if you want to check it before buying.

Can a customer change the price they pay?

Editing an amount displayed in the browser does not change the calculated product price. Your website checks the choices and price again before adding it to the basket. Shipping and tax follow your WooCommerce settings.

Can one price change many products at once?

Yes. Make it a shared price, like gold per gram or one sheet of plywood, and link it in each configurator that uses it. Change it once in Settings and every linked product shows the new price, in the baskets already filled too. Orders already paid keep their price.

Where are my customers' files kept?

On your own website, where only you and your shop managers can download them, from the order. Files that never became part of an order or a quote are removed after 7 days, and you can change that. Some hosts need one extra setting for this, and the help pages show it.

Does it work with my caching plugin?

ConfigKit has been tested with cached pages. If you update the pricing while a customer has the old page open, it asks them to check the updated price. Test your own cache setup before opening the shop to customers.

Can I sell by quote only, without showing a price?

Yes. Each configurator sells through the basket, by quote, or either. With quote only you can hide every price, and the page says "Price on request". Requests land in ConfigKit's own inbox, with a PDF for you and one for the customer.

Can I move a configurator to another shop?

Yes. Export it as a file and import it on the other shop. An import always arrives as a draft, and photos are left out when the file comes from another site. The shared prices it uses go with it, and never replace a price the other shop already has.

Does it work in other languages and currencies?

The interface can be translated, with support for WPML and Polylang. ConfigKit uses your shop currency and integrates with supported currency switchers. Tell me which tools you use if you want to confirm the fit.

What happens when my year is up?

Your configurators keep working exactly as they are. Updates and answers from me stop until you renew. Buy it once and there is nothing to renew.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Each licence is for one site. If you run more than one, tell me and I will sort out a price for all of them.

More in the ConfigKit help pages, or ask me.
